Principles of Urban Ministry
Dr. Mueller served for 3 years as LCMS World Mission's Africa regional director, 12 years as director of the Oswald Hoffmann School of Christian Outreach, and also professor of theology and mission at Concordia University, St. Paul. He and his wife, Joy, also previously served with LCMS World Mission from 1983 to 1990, as missionaries in Liberia, West Africa. Mueller holds a degree in elementary education from Concordia University, St. Paul, and is a 1983 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He also holds a Master of Theology degree in missiology (1991) from Fuller Theological Seminary's School of World Mission, and a Ph.D. in missiology (1996) from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne. Mueller accepted the call to serve as regional director for Africa and began his service in August 2005.
