Internship Seminar
Tricia has a passion for urban ministry. During her time at Crown College she felt God’s heartbeat for the city. After completing a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Missions, she attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY where she received her Master of Divinity. During her time there she was involved with two urban church plants, one in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx. She also worked with a new Christian counseling center in Queens that one of her professors had started. In pursuing opportunities in urban ministry, she went to Omaha, Nebraska to receive eight weeks of training. These eight weeks turned into over twelve years at Compass Ministries. Tricia lived and worked in North Omaha beginning as an intern and serving the last six years as the Director. She left Omaha in 2007 and moved to Minnesota to be married. Recently, she taught Kindergarten at Hope Academy in South Minneapolis before her son was born in March 2009.
